Day 4 | Udaipur

Travel to Udaipur

This morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Udaipur. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative, who will assist with your transfer to the hotel and check-in.

It is said that the ghost of Udaipur looks towards Chittorgarh, for it was after the tragic fall of that fort that Udaipur — a fairy-tale city of marble palaces and lakes — came into existence. The city of Udaipur was founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh, becoming the capital of the region of Mewar. The rulers of Mewar, the Sisodia Rajputs, trace their lineage back to AD 566 and pride themselves on being the defenders of Rajput honor. Unlike other Rajput royal families, the Sisodias were a fiercely independent clan who refused to enter into matrimonial alliances with the Mughals or military alliances with the British.

Private Boat Ride

In the evening, experience an exclusive boat ride on Lake Pichola, one of the most beautiful lakes in Rajasthan. Located in the heart of Udaipur, it was originally constructed in 1362 by Pichhu Banjara during the reign of Maharana Lakha.
